Reiki
Humans are energetic beings. We are filled and interact with life force energy known as chi, qi, ki, or prana, depending on the philosophy you're familiar with (Ayurveda calls it prana). Electricity has been measured in the body by the medical community since we've had the ability to do so. In believing that we have this relationship with energy, it's easy to imagine that our energetic bodies, like our physical bodies, can become unbalanced. Energy balancing practices offer a way to bring your energetic self back to balance and support healing from within.
Reiki (RAY-key) is the Japanese phrase for "universal life energy." It is a practice used for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Known to activate the natural healing processes of the body and restore physical and emotional well-being, Reiki enhances the body, mind, and spirit connection. Energy healing interacts with the energies that surround and innervate the body, affecting the subtle balances in our energetic fields. Energy work has been known to result in a deep, relaxing effect, allowing the body to heal itself from within.
Reiki is a complementary therapy that involves encouraging a healthy flow of energy in the body to lower stress and promote healing. Reiki is a spiritual practice during which practitioners are attuned to healing energy and then practice making connection and improving the channel they become for their clients.
Reiki Sessions
Reiki Energy Healing sessions work to bring balance to the energies of the body and incorporate several supporting concepts. Your session may include work with crystals, aura cleansing, chakra balancing, aromatherapy, sound, and other supportive energetic healing and balancing practices. Each session promotes a return to balance and may also work with the subtle elements that make-up the body as encouraged by the ancient holistic practice of Ayurveda.
During your session, you'll remain fully-clothed as you lie comfortably on a massage table. Hands are used to connect energy movement either directly on the body or hovering over the body.
Everyone experiences energy work in a different manner - expectations can be discussed prior to your session. Reiki supports any lifestyle practice that looks to find balance in body, mind, and spirit.
